Obituary of Christine Susan Cohen

Christine Susan Cohen, 65, of Davie, Florida passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at home surrounded by the same positive energy and love she radiated throughout her life. Chris was born to kind-hearted parents, Teresa Annalore and Howard Page, on July 18, 1951 in Trenton, New Jersey. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren Cohen, cherished mother of Michael and Jaclyn, Danny and Erin, Jamie and Jesse, devoted dog mom of Brandi and Bonni, and dearest sister of Cynthia and Teresa Lynn. Growing up in New Jersey, Chris spent her formative years in New York City before moving to South Florida with Warren and a young Michael in 1980 (twins Danny and Jamie would be born 5 years later). Always with a smile on her face, Chris was a regular volunteer at the Humane Society of Broward County for many years and proudly owned her own dog training business where she promoted positive reinforcement to pups and owners alike. In addition to her love of animals (birds excluded), Christine loved to laugh, vacationing in Napa Valley with Warren, watching The Hallmark Channel (especially “The Good Witch”), dancing to disco, singing along to oldies, going to concerts and plays with friends, eating and sharing good times with her beautiful family and living life with an inspirational positivity that was deeply felt and adored by all. Family will receive friends at the Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel, 9000 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024 on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2-5:30pm.
