Breck Lance Porter age 72, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away January 5, 2018 with his bride by his side.

Breck was born on May 28, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA to Robert and Lena Porter. He attended Primary School in Bethel Park, PA.  He moved with his family to Hollwood, FL in 1956 where he attended elementry school and McArthur High School (Class of 1962). He attented Computer Science College in Miami, FL  where he received his degree. However, he soon realized that four walls and a desk was to confining, and he found his true passion in the sky, and was inspired to learn to fly airplanes independently.  After a few years he became a flight instructor and test pilot of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.  Breck flew recreationally and professionally for over 40 years without incident nor accident. Breck finished his career at Florida Power and Light Company as Chief Pilot and Manager of The Aviation Department..

Breck was an avid Tennis Player, Football Player, Runner, Snow Skier

 and

32^nd Degree Freemason at Roe Fulkerson Lodge #299, Hollywood, FL

He loved his Friday Night Date which always included dancing with his bride 'til the sun came up!. He enjoyed all that life had to offer and was constantly in a state of wanderlust of seeing and discovering new sites and best local foods and those from around the world!

Above all else Breck's greatest love was his beloved family, whom he always showered with his love, with hugs, kisses and on a few occasions a lecture by which no one would never forget.

He is preceded in death parents Lena Elizabeth Koontz Porter of Hollywood, FL and  Robert Porter of Elizebethtown, PA, by his beloved son,  Brian Porter of Hollywood, FL

He is survived by his wife Thelma Short Porter of Pembroke Pines, FL, his son Troy ( Paula) Porter of Pembroke Pines, FL, his son Marcello (Michelle) Piso of Pembroke Pines, FL, his daughter Michelle Piso (Albert) of Sunrise, FL, his loved as a daughter, Kailah King, he is survived by nine (9) grandchildren, three (3) aunt, many inlaws, cousins and friends.
