Elena State affectionately known as Maya, born in Romania to her loving parents Maria Mosloc and Zaharia Iordan on November 26, 1934. Passed away Monday January 18,2016 after a long illness. Beloved wife of her late husband Nicolae State. Loving mother of Ileana married to Enrico Popescu. Cherished grandmother of Ana and Nicolae married to Raluca. Dearest sister of Magda, Silvi, and Ani. Predeceased brothers and sisters Rica, Stefan, Gogu and Nelu. Loving aunt of Camelia, which she loved as her own. Maya moved to Florida 26 years ago from Bucarest, Romania. She will be remembered for being strong,her strength, love dedication and sacrifice for her family. She was the gel that bonded the whole family together.Services will take place on Saturday January 23, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until Funeral Mass at 2:30 P.M. at Joseph A. Scarano Presidential Circle Memorial Chapel, 4351 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood Hills, Florida 33021. Reception will immediately follow at Europa Restaurant, 2009 Harrison Street, Hollywood Florida 33020.
