Marta Lucia Valencia May 26, 1945 – February 8, 2025 Marta Lucia Valencia, 79, passed away peacefully in her home on February 8, 2025. Born in Cali, Colombia, on May 26, 1945, she lived a life filled with faith, adventure, and deep connections with those she loved. Marta was predeceased by her parents, Uldarico and Lucia de Valencia, as well as her brothers Carlos (Leney), Oscar (Cecilia), and Jose Maria (“Chepe”) Valencia, and her sister Mariela Valencia. She is survived by her daughter, Alexandra Steiner; her grandsons, Christian Seth Steiner (Ellie) and William Jackson Steiner; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews who cherished her wisdom and unwavering love. A devoted follower of Christ, Marta’s faith was the foundation of her life. She was deeply involved in her church, dedicated to supporting pre-born charities, and an active member of her community through her HOA. She had a passion for traveling the world, embracing new experiences, and sharing time with family and friends. Her liveliness, generosity, and ability to bring people together will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Boniface in Pembroke Pines on March 12 at noon, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and faith. A cemetery ceremony will follow. Marta’s legacy of love, service, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Boniface Church are preferred. Please keep the Valencia family in your thoughts and prayers. The Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel is Honored to assist the Valencia family with the arrangements.
