To the family & friends of Rafaela Pedroso:
I was deeply saddened to hear of Rafaela’s passing, and I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to all of you during this incredibly difficult time.
I had the privilege of working alongside Rafaela for six years at BVLGARI, and in that time, she became a valued colleague and friend.
Our business trips together—especially to Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, The Dominican Republic and Venezuela—are memories I will always hold close to my heart. During our visits to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, and Belo Horizonte, she graciously took time to show me around and share the beauty of her home country. I will never forget our adventurous trip to Venezuela, including the unforgettable ride on a propeller plane from Caracas to Barquisimeto. Her warmth, humor, and kindness made every journey special.
Beyond her professional excellence, I will always remember Rafaela’s generosity in sharing her culture. She taught me so much about Brazilian business etiquette and cross-cultural communication, lessons that have stayed with me to this day. Despite coming from different backgrounds, our shared time living in Miami created a lasting bond.
Rafaela’s spirit, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of everyone around her. I feel fortunate to have known her and will always cherish the memories we shared. My thoughts are with you—her beloved family. May you find comfort in the beautiful memories and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Rafitcha! It’s hard to find the right words, but here I am trying to capture everything I wish I could say, everything I wish you could hear. You’ve been such a light in my life—one of those rare souls who carries happiness like a second skin. I can’t help but smile when I think of you. You always had this way of lighting up any room, of turning the ordinary into something magical with your positivity, your joy, your pure heart.
I’ll miss the way you could always turn a bad day into something bearable, the way your optimism had this almost tangible energy. Your laughter, your jokes, your ability to find joy no matter what life threw your way—those are the gifts you gave me and everyone who knew you.
But, as hard as it is to say goodbye, I know you wouldn’t want me to hold on to sadness. You lived so fully, so joyfully, and I know you’d want me to carry that same light forward, to find happiness even in the darkest moments. And I will. Because of you, I understand how important it is to celebrate life, to embrace every moment, and to live with a heart full of gratitude.
Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for all the laughter, the memories. You’ve left a permanent mark on my heart, your spirit will live on in the joy you spread and the love you gave.

Having had Rafi in our lives has been a gift. She was and will always be a true example of strength, perseverance, courage and selflessness. To make her even more amazing and awesome, she had the best sense of humor on earth! She could make us laugh even when things were not looking so great. I will miss her beautiful smile and her peaceful nature. But most of all, I will miss her for the incredibly and beautiful friendship she offered me from the very first day we met over 17 years ago. Rafaela foi muito mais do que uma amiga de infância—ela e nossa prima de coração, alguém com quem compartilhamos momentos inesquecíveis, risadas,e muitas memórias.
