Obituary of Mercedes Barrios

Mercedes Barrios, the wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that was so loved by by everyone, also known as Mami Mechi, Abuela, Tati and Tatin died peacefully at her home in Pembroke Pines Florida at the age of 90, She is survived by Adan Barrios her childhood friend who later became her husband of 72 years and her children and their spouses Milena "Joseph" Renedo, Javier "Alina Barrios and Peggy "Andrew" McKenzie. Her grandchildren Milena Joan, Melissa, Ryan, Andrew, Angeline, Javier, Jasmine, and Megan. Her great grandchildren Blake, Reagan and Andrew Ben. She was borne in Barranquilla, Colombia the younger daughter of Carlos and Tereza Hernandez, during the decade of the 60's. Her family emigrate to United States where she raised her three children and later helped to raise her grand children. Nothing brought her more joy than her family and traveling around the world with her husband Adan. Her passion for reading from her vast collection of books and travel contributed to her wisdom which she shared with those of us who loved her so dearly. Mercedes life was filled with love, friends, and family. As her husband Adan said she was a wonderful wife and mother.
