Obituary of Robert Daniel Engel

Robert “Rob” Engel died unexpectedly in his parent’s home on March 13th, 2025, in Pembroke Pines Florida at the age of 50. He is survived by his mother Cheryl Pensiero and his stepfather Russ Pensiero, his uncles Bruce Engel, Jeffery Engel, Greg Engel and his aunts Wendy Davis and Susan Bowman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leo and Lorraine Engel and his uncle Michael Engel. Robert was born on October 13th, 1974, in Hollywood Florida to Cheryl Pensiero. He graduated from McArthur High School. Robert was mechanically inclined which was nurtured by his grandfather Leo Engel. He began his working career in Palm Beach working for a private tool rental company and then moved on to work at Citation Electronics. Always skilled at small engine repair he became the owner of Bitter Blue Lawn and Garden Center which had been previously owned by his grandfather and his uncle. Robert was an individual who knew how to enjoy life. Sometimes he would just break out into uproarious laughter over some little trivial incident or funny moment. Robert was not one to sit around in solitude. He always wanted to be around people especially those who knew how to enjoy themselves. Robert knew how to enjoy the moment at hand. He always got a big kick out of knowing he helped someone in some way. He had a soft spot for stray animals and picked up a few in his life. We are deeply heartbroken by the passing of our son. Words cannot express how much we miss him and the void that he leaves in our lives. His laughter, kindness and presence will be forever cherished in our memories. Rest in peace our dear son.
