Frank Klement Obituary

Frank Klement passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by loving family on March 14th, 2025 in Pembroke Pines, FL at the age of 94, after declining health in the last year due to Myelodysplastic Syndrome (a pre-leukemia).

Frank was born in Slovenia to Cecilia Klement on July 12, 1930, immigrated to the U.S. in 1956, first living in Pittsburgh, PA and then Cleveland, OH; and finally, a resident of Florida since 1970.

Frank was the devoted husband of Maria for 66 years, and together they had three children, Frank (Wendy) of Cooper City, FL; Aloysius (Renee) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and Marian (Stanley) of Cooper City, FL. Frank is cherished Grandfather of Michael and Ashley Klement; and Natalie (Gabriel), Melanie and Kristina. Frank was a very special man, who will be missed by many.

Frank worked in the construction industry his entire career, most notably during South Florida’s building boom in the 1970s; and retired from the Dade County School Board’s construction division in 1995. Frank’s self-taught ways and natural talent for being mechanically inclined served him well, despite his lack of formal education, Frank earned the utmost respect of all, and was admired for his tenacious work ethic and his sincere generosity of always willing to help others who had a need to repair anything.

Frank was a parishioner of St. Mark’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years.
