Jose Avelino Tavarez, a much loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away peacefully at his home on June 7th, 2025 in Pembroke Pines. He was 93 years old. He bravely battled Alzheimer's disease for more than 10 years. Born on November 10, 1931 in Las Charcas, Santiago, Dominican Republic. Jose is survived by his children: Venecia Tavarez, Jose M. Tavarez, Alexandrina (Sandra) Rodriguez, Nelson Tavarez and Rosemary Fraga. His grandchildren: Joseph (Joey) Rodriguez, Tiffany Jaramillo, Jessenia Londono, Christina (Tina) Tavarez, Justin Ortiz, Christian Ortiz, Kristy Colon, Nelson Tavarez and Adrien Tavarez. His great grandchildren: Jaslene and Jayden Hernandez. His siblings Catalina Tineo, Pedro Tavarez, Anthonia Batista, Altagracia Rodriguez, Josefa Rodriguez, Mercedes Jimenez, Rosa Lugo and Socorro Tavarez. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years Alexandrina Del Carmen Tavarez, his parents Jose Agripo Tavarez & Ana Maria Tavarez Filpo and sister Maria Elena Tavarez. In Repose Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Please keep the Tavarez Filpo family in your thoughts and prayers. The Joseph A.
