Obituary of Catherine D. Scheer

Catherine {Cathy} Holbrook Scheer, age 84, passed into the arms of our Lord on Monday June 30th, 2025. Cathy was born on May 8th 1941 in Queens, New York to Harry and Elizabeth Holbrook. Cathy has been a resident of Cooper City Florida since 1978 where she was a Member and Volunteer at St. David's, St. Bernadette and St. Maximillian church. Cathy was an incredible cook-her kitchen was a place of love and laughter. Cherished memories were made celebrating Holidays and Birthdays together with Family and Friends. She was also a collector and an artist at heart. Her greatest masterpiece was her hand painted village that became the centerpiece of the Holiday season. She found joy in treasures like Precious Moments, Baseball cards and most of all Lighthouses, not just for their beauty, but because they symbolized something sacred to her: Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Through the church, she dedicated herself to supporting and guiding other couples in their marriages along side her husband Bill. Her faith as a devout Catholic shaped so much of her life, her love and her legacy. She leaves memories to be cherished by her beloved husband, William "Bill"; children, John Sciarrillo, Stacey Sciarrillo, Susie Sciarrillo, Kim Stamm (Michael), and Jamie Link (Robert).; Grandchildren Brian Loonam, Catherine Hartweck, Caroline Matkin, Christina Eachus, Nicole Duty, Jake Walker, Aidan Stamm, Finn Link, Gianna Stamm and Lulu Link. Great Grandchildren Hazel, Kennadi, Harrison, Esther, Jackson, Charles; brother Harry Holbrook and sister Margaret Petho. In Repose Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Funeral Mass Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church-Pembroke Pines, Florida following Entombment at 2:30 P.M.
