Celia R. De Oliveira Obituary

Celia Raquel De Oliveira

January 3, 1944 – July 11, 2025

Celia Raquel De Oliveira, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 81. Born in Rafael Castillo in La Matanza Partido, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Celia, was the daughter of Rafael Morales and Maria Ghysels.

In 1964, she bravely moved to the United States with her beloved husband, the late Antonio Pires De Oliveira, in pursuit of a better life. Together, they built a beautiful family rooted in love, resilience, and tradition.

A master seamstress by trade, Celia dedicated many years to her craft, but her true calling was as a caretaker. She was the heart of her family—their matriarch—offering unconditional love, tireless support, and endless humor. Whether she was cooking for her loved ones, caring for others, or spending hours on the phone with her sister and relatives, Celia made everyone feel valued and seen.

She is survived by her loving children, Dwight De Oliveira and Susan Mary Aguilera (husband Joseph Aguilera); her cherished grandchildren, Christine Aguilera (husband Ryan Thomas Murphy), Joseph Anthony Aguilera, Alison Nicole De Oliveira (husband Ramsey Fernandez), and Aaron Dwight De Oliveira; and her adored great-grandchildren, Sophia Rose Aguilera Murphy, Leo Pepe Murphy, and Adrian Daniel Fernandez.

Celia also leaves behind her devoted sister, Marta Sanchez (husband Miguel Sanchez); her brother, Roberto Morales (wife Mari Morales); and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Known for her hilarious sense of humor, joyful spirit, and selfless heart, Celia brought laughter and comfort to everyone around her. She loved playing cards; watching Enamorandonos, soccer, baseball, and the Rangers; eating desserts and Hooters chicken wings; caring for her ducks; and above all, spending time with her family. She was truly one of a kind—loving, giving, funny, optimistic, endearing and humble to the very end.

Her warmth, strength, and joyful laugh will be missed beyond measure but remembered forever.
