In Loving Memory of Rosemarie “Rosie” Abruntilla.

Rosemarie Abruntilla, age 82 of Pembroke Pines, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in her home with her husband and family at her side. Rosemarie “Rosie” was a devoted and loving wife to Ignacio Abruntilla for 63 years.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her brother Bobby, sister Phyllis, and her youngest daughter, Annette. Rosemarie is survived by her children, Ignacio Abruntilla Jr; and Charrise Cranston, and her husband, Timothy Cranston. Rosemarie has six grandchildren, Lauren Rappaport, and her husband, David Rappaport; Amanda Turner; Joey Abruntilla; Matthew Abruntilla; and Andrew Kane. Rosemarie has five great grandchildren, Alahna; Elijah; Nyhiah; Mahalia; and Makaijah Turner.

Rosemarie was born July 18, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Nicholas Orlando and Helen Ferino. She graduated from William Floyd School in Long Island, NY. Rosemarie married the love of her life, Ignacio Abruntilla in 1962. Over the next few years, the couple welcomed three children into their home, moved to Florida and saw out their happily ever after. Her children remember her has an unconditional mother who always stood firm by their side. Charrise, her eldest daughter reminisces purse shopping, running around from store to store, and finishing the day with Rosemarie’s favorite food, Chinese.

Rosemaire was skilled at sewing and crocheting, often making blankets, vests, and books for the family. Rosemarie was full of life, always looking for the next opportunity to go play bingo, hit the slot machines, or explore a flea market. Rosemarie was active in her grandchildren’s lives, always showing up for science fairs, concerts, and graduations.

A Memorial Service to include viewing and prayer service; will be held at 12 noon to five pm, Sunday, December 7th, at the Joseph A. Scarano Funeral Home, located at 9000 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.

A Burial Service will be held the following day, Monday December 8th, Family & Friends are welcomed to meet at the funeral home at 8:30am. Pression to South Florida National VA Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449, Lane 5 will begin at 8:50am sharp; to arrive by 10am. Burial Service is approximately 20 mins and includes prayers and final goodbyes.
