Alberto Amaral (Albe, Tio, Abuelo, and Papa) died peacefully at Memorial West Hospital in Pembroke Pines, FL, at the age of 74.
Alberto is survived by his child, Aymelis Amaral, brothers and sisters Magali and Rolando, and grandchildren Joseph and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odon (Roberto) and Maria de los Angeles (Angela), as well as his son Alexander and his siblings Zenaida, Rolando, Haydee, and Anisia Norma.
Alberto was born on July 13, 1951, in Cojimar, Havana, Cuba, to Odon Amaral and María de los Ángeles Quintana. He was the youngest of six children. He worked with his father in construction but later became a mechanic. He married and had two children. His first son, Alexander, died shortly after birth. He then welcomed his daughter Aymelis in Guanabacoa, Havana, Cuba. In 1995, he migrated to the United States with his daughter, seeking a better future. Aymelis remembers him as kind, patient, gentle, loyal, loving, dedicated, and caring—someone who encouraged and supported her every goal.
Everyone who met Alberto loved him. His gentle personality was calming, and his wise advice was spot-on during conversations. He was passionate about his family and spent every available hour making sure he was there for them.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Memorial West Hospital who were professional, kind, and gentle during his stay and at the time of his passing.
