Elba Milagros Cabrera Obituary

Elba Milagros “Millie” Cabrera (née Sanchez), a radiant soul full of grace, creativity, and unwavering faith, entered eternal peace on January 6, 2026, in Boca Raton, Florida.

Milagros leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her devoted daughters, Mercedes Flores and Cynthia Cabrera; her beloved sisters, Hilda Sanchez and Belkis Sanchez; and her dear brother, Alex George. She was reunited in heaven with her precious son, Ian Leslie Cabrera, and her loving husband, Rafael Leonidas Cabrera.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Elba immigrated to New York City with dreams in her heart, soon building a vibrant life joined by her extended family. A gifted graduate of fashion design school, she poured her artistic talents into her work as a seamstress and church secretary, bringing beauty and order to everything she touched.

In 2005, she embraced a new chapter in sunny Florida, where she continued to bloom. Together with Rafael, Milagros welcomed three beautiful children into the world, dedicating her life to nurturing and guiding them with boundless devotion. She cared tirelessly for her son Ian through his illness, a testament to her profound strength and compassion. Strong-willed yet endlessly kind, Milagros extended her warm heart to family, friends, and even strangers, making the world brighter with her concern and care.

Elba found joy in the simple wonders of life—dancing to music that lifted her spirit, admiring the delicate beauty of flowers, and marveling at nature as God's exquisite creations. Her deep devotion to her faith and church anchored her through life's many trials, inspiring all who knew her with her resilient trust in divine goodness.

Blessed with extraordinary artistic ability and an innate gift for creativity, Milagros transformed homes into havens of beauty, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary and leaving a touch of elegance wherever she went.
