Clara Cimadevilla Obituary

Mrs. Clara Emelia Cimadevilla (hereinafter “Clara”; maiden name, Martinez) passed away in Hollywood, Florida on April 14th, 2026. She would have been 87 years old in May being born on May 30th, 1939. She lead a colorful life with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clara, born in Havana Cuba, immigrated to the United States in 1969. She survived her husband, Mr. Ernesto Cimadevilla and became the sole parent and caregiver for her children. She is survived by her children, Clara, Leslie and Giovani together with their incredibly supportive spouses and her brother, Luis Martinez. Sadly, her third child Arlen passed away at only 9 years old. She will be buried by her daughter’s gravesite which was Clara’s wishes.

She is also survived by 6 beautiful grandchildren: Stephanie, David, Alex, Gabriela, Gianella and Emma. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren who simply adored her as well: Ella, Max and Mila. She devoted her life to her family which was her priority.

Aside from family, Clara loved poetry as a young woman. Math, cooking, sewing and dominoes were some of her passions. She also loved dogs (especially Chihuahuas). She was an exquisite cook and a talented seamstress. Taught us finances amongst many other of life’s lessons. Lastly, she was known as the “Domino Queen and Accountant” amongst her friends. Everyone loved talking and learning from her! She also loved opera especially Bocelli, Pavarotti and particularly, Il Volo.

She was formidably opinionated, emphatically defensive of her children yet funny and caring. Always giving up everything for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stellar, beautiful, unwavering and elegant! “Never go to the mailbox without your makeup and hair done”. She was a class-act…and just wanted her family to be happy.

A funeral mass is scheduled at St. Mark’s on Monday, April 20th, 2026 at 10 a.m. located at 5601 S. Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, Florida 33330. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital. The family would like to thank Clara’s medical team for providing great care. God bless her now and always. May she forever rest in peace and be with us.
