Kjell Olsen Obituary

Obituary - Kjell Ove Olsen

Kjell Ove Olsen, age 87 of Pembroke Pines, Fl passed

Away peacefully on May 12, 2026, leaving behind a

legacy

Of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark December 9, 1938 son of

A machinist who was teaching in Denmark. Kjell was

raised

In Vanse, Norway. He went to school at Vanse for

Elementary and high school, and later he enrolled in a

Vocational school, to pursue his passion for carpentry.

He spent his life building the world around him. He was

a

Skilled carpenter who worked dedicatedly in

construction,

Retiring in 2004, taking immense pride in the honest,

hard work

Of his hands. Beyond his profession, my husband was a

multi-faceted

Man, with a deep passion for music filling his home and

life with

Melody, mastering the guitar, keyboard, accordion,

piano, and

Harmonica. Kjell was a man of deep devotion who

beautifully expressed his love.

For his wife’s birthday in 1994, he sent a card filled

with wishes and dreams.

In his signature, loving way, Kjell drew an outline of a

heart and wrote the words

“ I love you”, inside the blank center. He also

reminisced about Stevie Wonder’s

1984 classic, I just called to say “I Love you”- a song he

cherished but rarely

Heard anymore. To honor Kjell’s memory and his

enduring romance, those words

And lyrics remain forever etched in our hearts: I just

called to say I love you,

And I mean it from the bottom of my heart.”

My husband had a deep love for Mexican music, which

brought great

Joy to his heart. Kjell was always happiest sharing a

game of pool with his buddies,

Paul from Denmark, Gaby from Bolivia, and Earl from

the USA. When he

Wasn’t at the pool table he could be found at the

bowling alley,

Pursuing the hobby he loved so dearly for many years.

An avid bowler, Kjell spent many of his favorite

Days at Sparez Bowling Alley. He thoroughly enjoyed

competing in

His weekly league alongside his close friends, proudly

playing in

Their tightly knit four-person team affectionately

known as

“3 guys and a gal.” Kjell’s passion for bowling brought

him numerous accolades

Over the years, including: St. Max League: 2nd place

finisher and 711

HDCP Series Champion (2005 - 2006), and voted “Most

Improved Bowler (2007 - 2008),

Century Village League (Sparez): Multi-time Tuesday

night league champion,

Securing top honors and 1st Place finishes, including

the 2015 - 2016 season.

Kjell loved his family fiercely, he enjoyed the simple

pleasures of

Life, and had a cooking style all his own, whether he

was frying

Potatoes with onions cut into tiny pieces with way too

much oil,

Or saving half of his morning oats in the fridge to

microwave

The next day, he did everything with his own unique

flair, bringing

Laughter to our everyday life.

He was a truly good-hearted, loving man and a

exceptionally a

Good husband who brought warmth, kindness, and

laughter to

Those he loved most, a loving father and grandfather, a

Cherished son, a dear brother, a proud uncle, and a

loyal

Friend to many.

Kjell married the love of his life, Miriam Olsen, in

Panama on

August 24, 1996, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish,

Beginning a beautiful life journey shared with family

and friends.

He is survived by his loving

Wife, Miriam, with whom he shared a beautiful life,

passing

Away just short of celebrating their 30th wedding

anniversary.

He also leaves behind his son, Roy Olsen, and his wife

Kelli; his

Grandson, Kyle Olsen, and his wife Miranda

His sister, Else Kalleberg, and her husband Alf, as well

as a

Loving circle of nieces, a nephew, and extended family

members.

Kjell was preceded in death by his parents, Edel

Berentsen Olsen

And Ragnvald Thorkildsen Olsen.

Private family inurnment will take place at a later date

at

Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1500

South

State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida. 33068.

You are warmly invited to attend the inurnment

ceremony

For Kjell Ove Olsen. We will gather to place Kjell’s

Urn into his final resting place in the niche. Your

presence would

Bring great comfort to the family.

“Special thanks to the caregivers and medical team,

who provided

Comfort and compassion to Kjell Ove Olsen during his

time in

Rehabilitation and nursing care.”

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be

made in memory

Of Kjell Ove Olsen, to the Alzheimer’s Association

(Alz.org)

Or the American Heart Association (heart.org)

I will forever carry the cherished reminder of his

beautiful words in my heart.”

My husband’s greatest joy in life was his marriage to

his beloved wife, Miriam

He cherished their time together and made it a point

to constantly remind her

Just how deeply he loved her. He would say out of the

blue, “Hey, Do you know I love

You? You are the best thing that happened to me, and

I would not change you

For anybody or anything. To my husband: I love you,

and will always love you.

You will be deeply missed by Miriam, your wife. I will

carry his memory in my

Heart every single day.

“In his honor, please take a moment today to look at

someone you care about and

Tell them-out of the blue-Hey, do you know I love you?”
