Fernando Hernandez passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 80.

Fernando is survived by his beloved wife, Juana Hernandez; his children, Luis Fernando, Jessica, and Christian; and his cherished grandchildren, Mia, Armani, Anissa, and Soraya.

Fernando was born on October 7, 1945, in Barranquilla to Victor and Julia Hernandez. He graduated from Biffi La Salle before later moving to Paterson, where he built a loving home and family. Shortly after settling there, he and his wife welcomed their three children into their lives.

Fernando will be remembered as a man with a strong personality who could light up any room. He was accomplished in his career as a sheet metal mechanic in aviation and was admired for his dedication, hard work, and leadership by example. He took great pride in his work and was respected by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Fernando’s life at a funeral service on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Scarano Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
