Rommel Lopez Tecson Obituary

Obituary for Rommel L. Tecson

April 21, 1975 to May 21, 2026

Rommel L. Tecson, age 51, passed away on May 21, 2026. He was born on April 21, 1975, in Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines, to Rolando V. Tecson (deceased) and Florencia L. Tecson.

Rommel was the oldest of four children. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Ronald Tecson. He is lovingly remembered by brother, Froilan Tecson of West Palm Beach, Florida, and his sister, Rosa Tecson of Cooper City, Florida.

Rommel spent his early years in the Philippines, where he attended college for two years before making the brave decision to migrate to the United States in the early 1990s. Like many immigrants, he left behind the familiarity of home, family, and the life he knew in order to begin again and build a new future abroad. His journey was not easy, but Rommel worked hard, persevered, and helped support his mother and siblings as they adjusted to life in a new country.

Throughout his life, Rommel was known for his strong personality, independent spirit, and kind heart. He could sometimes come across as rough on the outside, but those who knew him understood that he was well-meaning, generous, and deeply caring in his own way. He was the type of person who showed love through action, loyalty, hard work, and sacrifice.

Rommel had many passions that reflected who he was. He loved cars and racing, and he especially enjoyed driving his old Camaro and working on cars. He had a deep appreciation for hard rock music and played the guitar. He also had a keen eye for collecting antiques, toys, sports memorabilia, and racing memorabilia. What began as a hobby became a part-time business and a reflection of his ability to find value, history, and meaning in the things he collected.

Although Rommel never married and had no children of his own, he played an important role in the lives of his nieces and nephews. He helped raise them, watched them grow, and was part of their lives in ways that will always be remembered. He also had a special love for cats and other animals, showing a softer, more compassionate side that those close to him knew well.

Rommel’s life was marked by resilience, sacrifice, humor, hard work, and love for his family. He will be remembered for his strength, his unique personality, his love of cars and music, his generous heart, and the memories he leaves behind.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, siblings, family, friends, nieces, nephews, and all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
