In Loving Memory of Germania Ruiz ("La Gordita")

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Germania Ruiz, affectionately known as "La Gordita." Germania was born on November 4, 1944, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and was a remarkable mother, loving grandmother, and cherished friend.

Germania spent her early years in Ecuador before immigrating to the United States in search of a better life and greater opportunities for her family. It was here that she met the love of her life, Jose Ruiz, whom she married on October 16, 1976. Together, they built a beautiful life, residing in New York and New Jersey before settling in Florida in 1989.

Germania was the proud mother of one daughter, Sindy Ruiz, whom she loved unconditionally and cared for with unwavering devotion. She was also a dedicated and loving grandmother to Joseph Ruiz, Samuel Gonzalez, and Leonardo Gonzalez, who brought immense joy to her life.

Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Germania found happiness in caring for others. She loved to cook and took great pride in making sure her family was always well-fed and cared for. Her home was a place of comfort, love, and togetherness, and her kindness touched everyone who knew her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives she enriched through her compassion, strength, and selflessness.

Mami, thank you for everything you did for your grandchildren and for me. Your love, sacrifices, and guidance will never be forgotten. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Though you are no longer with us, your memory, love, and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
