Celebrating the Life of Dr. Stanley Zych Jr.

March 31, 1947 – July 11, 2026

Miami Lakes, Florida – The family of Dr. Stanley Zych Jr. is deeply saddened to announce his passing on July 11, 2026, at the age of 79.

Stanley was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, and uncle, with countless cousins, profoundly loved by his family.

During his early career journey, he served in the United States Air Force with basic training in Texas and continued military service with the Puerto Rico Air National Guard (PRANG) from 1971 to 1973. Following his time with the U.S. Armed Forces, he started his business and finance career as a corporate banker, before promoting to vice president of investments. Later he encountered a profound love for teaching at the university level.

Stanley lived a life centered on the pursuit of knowledge and the joy of teaching. After earning his Doctorate, he continued a dedicated career as a professor in higher education. As a professor in the fields of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, International Trade/Finance and Global Marketing, he served as a valuable contributor to his classes, esteemed faculty and colleagues. Stanley genuinely loved shaping the minds of the next generation, while quoting classic “Godfather” and “James Bond” quotes, as much as possible. He inspired countless students with his insights into the financial world, and delivered unwavering dedication to their academic and professional success.

Outside of his work, Stanley was known for his quick wit and ability to bring humor to everyone he met. He had a gift for connecting with people and could easily bring a smile to a complete stranger, whether he was striking up a conversation at the local Starbucks or chatting with folks at the post office. His warmth, laughter, and wisdom will be deeply missed by his community and everyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.

Above all his academic achievements, Stanley leaves behind a legacy of immense love for his family. He is survived by his two devoted daughters, Melissa and Michelle, who love him forever. His heart will go an, as he was the incredibly proud grandfather of two grandchildren, who affectionately love him and referred to him as “Papa Jun”.

He was welcomed into eternity by his beloved parents, Stanley Zych Sr. and Ilia Zych, as well as his younger brother, José “Joe” Zych.
