In loving Memory of Josette Momplaisir.

Josette Momplaisir was a cherished mother, devoted community member, and lifelong caregiver. She passed away peacefully on July 24th 2026 at the age of 89.

Born in Port-au-Prince Haiti, Josette dedicated her early professional life to education, touching countless young lives as a passionate school teacher. Upon moving to the United States, she continued her calling of service to others by working for many years as a dedicated nurse's aide, providing compassionate care and comfort to those in need.

Above all, Josette was known for her strength, and deep love for her children, extended family, and community. Her legacy of selflessness, resilience and love will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Magalie Momplaisir-Mompoint, and George Momplaisir, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Mompoint, Danielle Provost-Momplaisir, Ashley Momplaisir, Michelle Momplaisir-Ames, George Jr. Momplaisir, Great grandchild James Charles Ames.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Cecile Beaujin, Father Mercure Compere, Sister Immacula Beaujin, and Brother Serge Compere.
