Obituary of Edward Jesus Romero

Edward J Romero of Pembroke Pines, FL, passed away Sunday, July 25th, 2021 at the age of 60. Edward was preceded in death by his mother Carmen Varela who passed away on June 16th, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife Lena with whom he enjoyed the last 40 years with. In addition to his wife he is also survived by his four children Nellie, Daniel, Dominic, and Edward Jr. He also has the honor of being blessed with two granddaughters Chelsea and Kristen. He was also a loving brother to his only sibling Alicia and uncle to his nephews Benjamin and Rocky Fava. He was born in Barranquilla, Colombia and moved to the U.S. at the age of 4. There are no words to express how important family was to him. He was always the person to go to for advice, if you needed a laugh, or if you wanted your spirits lifted. Ed was a man of honor and respect, he always stayed true to his word and fulfilled his promises. Ed had a long career with Honeywell and made many lifelong friends. In his free time he enjoyed watching football, getting outdoors especially to the beach, and playing Sudoku in his Sunday paper. Ed Romero has touched so many lives with his wisdom, love, and unparalleled generosity. We know that from this day forward his legacy will be carried on through the many lives he influenced but especially through his family. He is a Christian man and son of God. Although he no longer blesses us with his physical presence, we all now have an angel watching over us in Heaven.
