Obituary of Thomas Timothy Kelliher

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Thomas Timothy Kelliher (Tom) was born 76 years ago in the Bronx, NY. He went to St. Nicholas of Tolentine for elementary and high school and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) for college. He also received a Masters of Finance from Pace University. Tom worked for Florida Power and Light (FPL) for 30 years. Tom is survived by his loving wife Helen; his 3 daughters, Christine, Patricia, and Jennifer; son in law Matthew Daly; grandchildren Charlotte and Rory Daly (for whom he was called “Buddy”); brother, Donald (wife Paula), sister-in-law Joan Kelliher, and his many nieces and nephews. Tom loved his family, friends, the Miami Heat, and Jeopardy. He coached the boys basketball team at St. Bernadette’s for over 8 years and coached each of his daughters in soccer. He was the grandfather of the neighborhood when he spent his summers in Rockaway, NY to be closer to family. Everyone knew and loved “Buddy”. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially teaching Charlotte to play basketball and playing trains with Rory. Tom favorite motto was “Life is Good” and that it is “Nice to be Nice.” He died Tuesday, January 11, 2022. The Funeral Mass is at St. Bernadette’s on Saturday, January 15 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Tom’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
