Obituary of Edward Raymond Perez

Edward Raymond Perez of Miramar, Florida, passed away on Tuesday February 22, 2022 with his beloved wife and partner, Gail (Hogan) Perez by his side. Ed was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, on April 7, 1931, to Domingo Ramon and Mary (Wasilewski) Perez. He was predeceased by both parents, Geraldine (Wydra) Perez, son in-law George McGillin, and granddaughter Nicole Entrican. Ed is survived by Gail, his six children Deborah A. Perez (Patsy Hahn), Judith A. McGillin, Edward G. Perez, Susan T. Frankenfield, Robert P. Perez (Lourdes) and Jeffrey A. Perez (Jennifer). He is also survived by five granddaughters, seven grandsons, many great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, brother in-laws, sister In-laws, nieces, and nephews. Ed was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He was devoted to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, his family and friends. Ed made connections with everyone he met. Ed worked for National Airlines and Pan American Airlines before retiring. A fondness for watching sports, Ed was a true fan of the Marlins, Dolphins, and Hurricanes. He especially loved watching his many children and grandchildren participate in sports. Ed and Gail traveled all around the country sightseeing and visiting family and friends. A special highlight was when they were able to travel to Spain and locate his father’s birthplace and find his extended paternal family. Ed was a collector of memories. But above all, he loved his precious family. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 8005 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, Florida, cremation to follow.
