Obituary of Nicholas LaSala

Nicholas Peter La Sala was the first born child of Mary and Joseph La Sala. He was born on August 8, 1930 in Corona, Queens. He enlisted in the Navy at age 18 and was proud of being a Navy man throughout his life. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Anne Woods originally from Atlantic City. He retired from the Long Island Railroad and was an loving husband and provider for his family. He was the devoted father to daughter, Patricia Anne Zorovich and son Joseph William La Sala (Linda). He has five grandchildren and one grandson by marriage. In order of birth, they are Matthew La Sala, Shannon La Sala, Nicholas Zorovich, Ashley Zorovich ( U.S. Marine, Parkar Dobrick) and Will La Sala. He is also survived by his brother Michael La Sala (Rosemary) sister, Victoria La Sala, nephews, Michael C. (Tim) and Jaime La Sala and Bill Keele, Sister in law, Dorothy Keele and nieces Darlene Keele and Kathy Miller (Jesse) . He had numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Nick will be remembered as a kind, affectionate, generous, funny, family man with a gregarious personality who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was the rock of our family and will be forever missed by us all!
