Obituary of Christian Louis Menconi

Christian Louis Menconi, 41, of Tamarac, Florida, passed away on Monday July 17, 2017. Born on April 2, 1976 in Hollywood, Florida to loving parents, Robert Menconi and Monica McPherson Menconi. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of Deborah Buening Menconi. Brother of Megan Menconi Ramos and brother-in-law of Joel Ramos. He was the grandson of Lena Menconi; the son-in-law of James and Shari Buening; brother-in-law to JR Buening, Jeffrey Buening, Cynthia Buening-Cartisano, and Frank Cartisano, who was Chris’ best friend and honorary brother.  He was loved by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. He was the devoted godfather of Jacqueline Triece, and daddy to his loyal fur babies Beau Beau and Super Duper Mini Cooper.

Although his life was too short, Chris lived it on his own terms. He was a native of South Florida who enjoyed traveling the world through his career with Royal Caribbean International.  He adored meeting new people as he explored city after city and port after port. He had a love of architecture, food and photography, which frequently brought him to places many only dream of going. When he wasn’t globetrotting for work, Chris could be found in the kitchen cooking scrumptious cuisines or outside as an avid aquaponic and hydroponic gardener growing delicious herbs and vegetables.  He never outgrew his love of LEGOs and built many structures straight from his vivid imagination.  He loved shifting gears in his Mini Cooper and never found a winding road he didn’t gleefully embrace. He had a smile that spectacularly lit up a room every time it flashed, along with a wicked sense of humor; both will be deeply missed.

The family welcomes you to join them as they celebrate Chris’ life.  If you would like to remember Chris with a donation, the family would be honored if you contribute to a Memorial Fund opened in his honor. Consolidation of donations will be used to provide a lasting contribution to a charity fitting for Chris' personal contributions to our world.
