I first met Bob Trahey at Miami Country Day School in the late 60s. My father, Sam Johnston, was a Camp Counselor along with Bob, who was an archery instructor among his other activities. I actually worked for him as a youngster, helping with the archery, and running to the 7-11 to pick up some sausage biscuits and coffee. He was a unique and funny guy to hang around with. The only problem was he kicked my tail on the tennis court. I met him years later after my father died, at St. Brendan HS where both of my daughters attended. We'd stand around and talk smack at the school pickup lines and had some good laughs. My dad always liked Bob and I did too. My heartfelt prayers to his family and friends. God bless.
