Obituary of Rosario V. Soledad
Please share a memory of Rosario to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosario Verzosa Soledad’s journey of life began on June 28, 1933 when she was born to her loving parents Jose and Paz Chuatico Verzosa in Ilog, Negros Occidental, Philippines. She was raised by her parents who had strong Christian values. Rosario accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age. She served as a member of Davao Evangelical Church and at the same time a choir directress.
Rose met and fell in love with her beloved husband Rodolfo Soledad (deceased) and joined in holy matrimony in Davao City, Philippines. To this union, two sons were born, Siegfried and Rey Val Soledad.
“Rose” as she was fondly called, graduated with a degree in Pharmacy and worked for a short while but later changed her career to be a government employee. She worked in the Commission of Elections in Tagum City, Philippines until she retired at the age of 65.
Rose’s life and legacy concluded when God’s masterful work was done on Friday, April 27, 2018. She passed away peacefully when she heard the voice of her Savior declare, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” She leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to her two sons Siegfried and Val with wife Maria Theresa Soledad, two grandchildren Els and Ethan, sister Fe and brothers Andres and Arthur Verzosa.
