Salim Awad Hanna Salem, born in Nazareth, Palestine, on May 9, 1936, was married for almost 60 years to Rose Aboud Salem.  The father of Youssef, Izdehar (Johnston), the late Zuher, Ghassan, and Samira, the late Salim was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Salim was committed to providing for his familly and filled their lives with love, joy, and above all, strength. He loved people, sharing in their happiness, and lived the life of a true family man.  Salim's presence was felt by all in the room and leaves all who met and loved him with an imprint. On September 2, 2018 he fell asleep in the Lord at the age of 82.  Prior to his death, he peacefully received Confession and Holy Communion with faith and the fear of God,  and surrounded by his loved ones. The Visitation and Funeral Service will take place at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Coral Gables, Florida, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  The Burial Service will take place at Southern Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.  At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 'Saint George Cathedral' in his memory. May his memory be eternal!
