Favorite words of John : Pray, Hope, Don't worry and by Joyful
It is very difficult to write this about my husband John. How do you write about your best friend, lover, husband of 43 years? Right now I know that John is in heaven. I knew he would not be with me much longer on earth but I never expected him to leave me so quickly. When he told me he loved me Thursday night and to go home and rest - I never expected it to be our last words. I love you John for your love and patience and I promise to never let anyone steal my joy. Love forever, Anne Marie
John's life has been one of love. As a young man he was always searching for love. He was born to John and Anita and his many aunts and uncles in an Italian family touched his young life.
Life changed for John and he met his wife Anne Marie at College Misericordia in Pennsylvania. From the moment he met her Anne Marie was the love of his life. They married one year after meeting. He now also had Bob and Shirley as new parents and her sisters Nancy and Gail in his life.
John and Anne Marie have truly been a love story. Two hearts joined together in love. Both even worked together every day in a family business for several years.
After almost 9 years of marriage John and Anne Marie were blessed with the miracle of their daughter Annie's birth. John was a devoted father to Annie. He wanted Annie to have a parent always at home so when they moved to Florida when Annie was six he assumed the role of house-husband . God has always been an important part of their lives. John felt very strongly that his family should reflect the love of God. Annie grew up with a loving, devoted father.
No child could have been loved more than Annie and she grew into a beautiful woman strong in her faith.
Annie became married to John Justino and is now carrying the love in her heart that she received from John. Annie and John are parents of two beautiful boys Jared-3 and Jeremy-1. John became a grandparent and pop-pop to two loving little boys.
John became a teacher much later in life. It is this career that meant the most to him. He loved the children who he taught in special education at David Lawrence K-8 center. The nurses at Memorial West shared with his wife what a beautiful man and dedicated teacher he was. Before he died he expressed to them how much he enjoyed his work and our children with special needs.
All those who have known John refer to him as a kind, loving, and soft spoken man. He always had an open mind and would give advice when asked. John was always willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was very generous with those he met in all ways.
