Obituary of Thomas Terranova

Mr. Thomas Terranova, 79, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 9^th, 2019 at 79 years old.

Tom was born to parents Josephine Terranova (née Simione) and Salvatore Terranova on March 8^th, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a beloved little brother to the late Marianna Terranova and elder brother to Dr. Loretta Terranova. Tom married Joanna Terranova (née DeSimone) on May 22^nd, 1965. They were happily married for 54 years and had two children and five grandchildren together.

Tom moved from Brooklyn to Florida in 1981 while working for Travelers Insurance. His children, grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins could always count on Tom for a fishing trip, swimming lessons, great food, and even better advice.

Tom is survived by his wife, Joanna Terranova; his sister and brother-in-law, Loretta Terranova and Nicholas Pelliccione; his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Tina Terranova; his daughter and son-in-law, Jana and David Ryan; and his grandchildren Julia Terranova, John Ryan, Thomas Terranova, Zachary Ryan, and Emily Ryan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Salvatore Terranova; and his sister, Marianna Terranova.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 19^th, 2019 from 2 - 5 pm and 7 - 9 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm. The funeral mass will take place on Saturday, July 20^th, 2019 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church at 11:30 am. Arrangements by Joseph A.
