Marc

His journey began on May 29, 1950 in Cote de Fer, Haiti. 

He migrated to the United States to pursue the American dream when he was 18 years old. Marc found a place in San Jose, CA where began his career as a computer operator in the heart of Silicon Valley. It was also there where he met and fell in love with Lia Ghirmazion. They were married on December 1983 and together had 4 children: Clorama, Loretta, Crisciana, and Marc Sr. 

Marc’s love and dedication for his family continued even though the circumstances and dynamics had an unfortunate change. His path led him to retire and settle in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Where he resided for the past 10 years. During which, he enjoyed visiting his country of Haiti every year and being an active member in the Haitian community. 

Marc enjoyed spending his time with his family above anything else. He loved to socialize with his community and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, eating good food (especially burgers!), and keeping up with politics. 

Marc was an investor. He had invested in real estate, the people he loved around him, and even in his dreams. He began multiple small businesses throughout the years and his drive to keep trying and never give up was an inspiration to all that had the pleasure of knowing him. 

Marc Dorvilias joined our heavenly father on October 13th, 2019. He was a one of a kind amazing man, father, brother, family member and friend. Although his physical body is gone, he’s been placed in everyone’s hearts and is watching over us. 

In Repose Sunday October 20, 2019 from 2-6 P.M. with cremation to follow. Arrangements by Joseph A. Scarano Presidential Memorial Chapel, 4351 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, Florida 33021 954-438-8222. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to the family.
