Obituary of Ricarda Marino

Ricarda Marino, lovingly known as Mama, was born on October 31, 1927 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2019. She was married to Rafael Marino and together had eight children. She will always be remembered as a religious woman, a pillar of the family, and the epitome of strength and faithfulness. A mother who buried four children- Esther, Maria, Ralphy and Beatrice. And never had her faith go astray. She always saw the good in everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand-whether it was providing a place to stay, a meal or prayer. She is survived by her 4 children, Rick, Jerry, Marta and Anita. She also has 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Ricarda known as Mama will forever be remembered by the many lives, she impacted throughout her 92 years. To know her was a blessing to many and to know she is in Heaven with her heavenly Father, gives peace to the broken.

Ricarda’s faith was First. Ricarda never drove a car. She made sure my Father bought a house next to a Catholic Church, So she could walk to Church every day. She was always involved at the Church. She led the Legion of Mary. She was on the phone list at the Church so if anyone wanted to pray, she was always available. In Repose Wednesday, December 11, 2019- 2-4P.M. & 6-9P.M. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. St. Bernadette Catholic Church-7450 Stirling Road, Hollywood, Florida 33024. Burial to follow at Southern Memorial Park Cemetery-North Miami,Florida. Arrangements by Joseph A. Scarano Stirling Memorial Chapel-6970 Stirling Road, Davie, Florida 33024.
