John H. Sillman, Jr., 90 of Pembroke Pines passed away Tuesday December 17, 2019 in Miramar, Florida. Born October 26, 1929. Private cremation. Arrangements by Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel, 9000 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024 954-438-8222 Mr. John H. Sillman Jr., age ninety, of Pembroke Pines, FL, passed away on December 17th, 2019 of natural causes. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on January 8th, 2020 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Reverend Dr. Keith Spencer of Trinity Lutheran Church will be officiating.John was born in Yonkers, NY on October 26th, 1929. He graduated from Saunders Trade and Technical High School where he studied to become an electrician and continued on to receive his diploma from Saunders.John was married to Ann L. Sciscenti on April 16, 1977; they were married forty-two years. He was a dedicated family raising his stepson Carmine as his own. John worked as an electrician and was a proud member of Local Union #3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in New York City for forty years. He enjoyed bowling, taking cruises, going to the casino with friends and, watching NASCAR and football. He was also a proud U.S. Veteran and continued to support the VA through charitable contributions.John is survived by his wife Ann, son Carmine Longo, brother Donald Sillman and nieces Laura Sillman, Jody Watkins and Jill Wilyard and other family and friends.John is preceded in death by his sisters Mildred Fyfe and Ruth Calkins.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, 7150 Hollywood Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.
