Obituary of Maria V. Ruales

Maria V. Ruales, 90 of Davie passed away Wednesday January 15, 2020 in Davie, Florida. Born December 3, 1929. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Sunday January 19, 2020 from 2-4 P.M. with cremation to follow. Arrangements by Joseph A. Scarano Stirling Memorial Chapel, 6970 Stirling Road, Davie, Florida 33024 954-438-8222 Maria Victoria Ruales Bendezu was born on December 3, 1929 in Lima, Peru, daughter of Juan Ruales and Maria Bendezu de Ruales. She was the oldest of 13 siblings. Maria Victoria worked as a nurse in Public Health Care and also worked in a Leprosy Colony in the Peruvian Jungle. In 1968 Maria Victoria visited the United States and fell in love with this great country. In the late 70’s, Maria Victoria (Mima) became a permanent resident of the United States with her 3 daughters. Maria Victoria worked as a seamstress in Hialeah for many years. Mima was preceded in death by her loving daughter Orietta Llerena Mikels. Mima is survived by her daughter Maria Donohue, Son-in-Law John Donohue, Jr., daughter Rocio Llerena, Son-in-Law (Orietta’s husband) John Mikels, Grandchildren Maria (Ryan) Campagnano, Kerry (Josue) Vales, Cissey Blackburn, John Donohue III, and her loving Great Grandchildren Rylee Mavin and Maks Ryden Campagnano, and America Reagan Vales. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Alzheimers Association or Seasons Hospice Foundation / Honoring Life & Offering Hope.
