Ralph Anthony Plata, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Tony, as he was known by all, was born November 25, 1965 in New York where he grew up, made life-long friends, met and fell in love with his wife and saw the birth of his three sons Sebastian 19, Nicolas 16 and Santiago 9. He worked as a contracted healthcare auditor for the federal government for more than 25 years. In 2012, he moved with his family to Cooper City making his dream come true. However, he still loved New York City, the city that saw him grow. Tony was a family man. His sons will miss his cheering them every step of the way at each of their games and the pride he showed when he spoke about them. When it came to quality time, Tony made sure he lived every moment to the fullest with his children. His wife will miss her partner in life for 20 years, the planner, the pillar, the dreamer, the fun-loving husband and sociable big guy.As a son his mother, Gladys who lived with him after his father passed away, his sister Doris who outlived him will miss having his unconditional support and love. His nieces will miss seeing the world from Tony’s height, 6.4’ when he carried them and his burgers. His in-laws will miss hearing about his dreams and plans for the family. Tony was the mayor of friendship. Everywhere he went he made friends. Walking into an event here in Florida, in Colombia or in NY, he brightened up the space and oddly enough he always ran into somebody he knew. Tony had the ability to make feel everyone important. He was a generous listener. He was welcoming and attentive, engaging everyone he came in contact with in nteresting conversations and always treating everyone with the outmost care and respect. He was an information sharing guy, and sought to have an answer and a solution to every problem and for everyone. To Tony the world was simply a big family. Everyone will miss his hugs and how he made them all feel as one big family. Tony leaves a legacy of unconditional love and friendship. He impacted the lives of many with free kindness, care and a lending hand. His sudden death leaves an unbelievable void in every single person that knew him.
