Amanda was one of the first friends I made in NYC. She was down to earth, caring, fun, and a hustler. I admired her and appreciated her friendship more than she knew. just a few of the moments I shared with @djamandablaze she was a dope female DJ that killed it in the clubs and on radio, a supportive friend and a devoted mom. I met her around 2009 in NYC when she was on Sirius/XM - she was one of the first DJs to support @claption on her mixtapes and on radio, came to his shows and always showed love. we then became fam when she moved to Miami in 2014. I will remember your friendship and kindness, your generosity and big heart, your hustle, your ambition, your dedication to music and above all to your son. Amanda’s laugh and light will be with me! We talked about serious matters, at times, but always had to put a few laughs in there, and that it what is keeping me going. The goofy, silly, fun things we did together as kids, teenagers, and adults makes me realize how very lucky we all are. I truly can’t think of one time where it seemed like life was too hard to get through it...
I bragged about Amanda more than she would probably care to know. “My friend travels the world and DJ’s! She’s a working mom that gets it done, and always did even through College! She’s the funniest, coolest woman I know...I can’t wait for you to meet her!”
My bragging will not stop. She’ll always be the one that helped mold me as a person, friend and mom.
