Janice McCarter Marion my dear friend, rest in peace. Marion and I have been friends for over 50 years. We met as coworkers at Lumber Industries Limited in Trinidad. Our friendship continued as we shared lifestyles, laughter, advice and visits when I migrated to Maryland. Nicole and Charlene have lost not only a mother but a sister, friend and consultant. Marion's children were her pride and joy and she had every reason to be proud of them. A woman of strength, charisma and dignity will be missed by a lot of us. You have run the course your race has ended, fly on to glory and rest with the angels.

Marion was a wonderful neighbor for over 30 years. She never fussed when my sprinkles made a mess in front of her driveway (and that was often) I will miss her and think of her whenever the mangoes are ripe.

Marion was the ultimate example of how a lady carries herself in life. She was an example to all. Her elegance, intelligence and balanced mentality are unmatched. I will always treasure her friendship and example. We were work partners for over 3 wonderful years. She brought her two beautiful daughters to our art openings and Fernando Garcia, the artist, would be so excited to see them he would start exclaiming...."the girls are here!" Per Fernando, they understood more about his art than most adults present and he truly loved young people interested in the arts. They are both her living memorials and made her so proud.
