To the DiGioia Family,
I am sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing. I had the honor of being Lucy‘a Volunteer Manager for 11 years at Vitas Hospice. She was An amazing, compassionate, and loving person. She gave so much to others in need and asked for nothing in return. The world just lost an Angel. It was a privilege to know her.

My mom was my best friend, my mentor and my biggest supporter. She was the person that was ALWAYS there for me. She taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and family. I always told her that I hoped to be half the mother to my children that she was to me, because then, I would be a great mom. I could never be her... she was amazing! Selfless, thoughtful and humble. I know she knew just how much I loved and appreciated her, because I made it a point to let her know. Not only did I tell her, but I hope my actions showed her. I think they did. Many people have expressed to me that it was evident to them how much I loved her, so I think I did a good job of showing her. No regrets. I will miss her tremendously, but find comfort in knowing she is at peace, and out of pain. She is with some great company. As I ended all of our conversations, Mom, I LOVE YOU MORE.
