Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel is honored to assist the Watson family with the arrangements. Hilda Maria Peters Watson, also known to many as “Pinky” was born on June 28, 1934 to parents Cyril Samuel Peters and Esther Jane Peters. Hilda was born in Kingston, Jamaica where she spent her childhood growing up, making lifelong friends and worked at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel until 1978. She then decided to relocate to the U.S. where she joined her brothers and sisters in New York. For over 15 years Hilda dedicated her time working at the Jamaica Hospital in Queens NY where she was an Aide. When Hilda was not working she enjoyed cooking, shopping, making arts and crafts to include sewing and knitting, dressing lavishly and most importantly was a devoted member of the Carnarsie Full Gospel Church as well as the Berean Baptist Church. In 2013 Hilda decided to relocate to Pembroke Pines, Florida, with her late husband Emmanuel Watson, in an effort to be closer to his children who helped care for them, up until her passing on January 25th, 2021. We are confident that our beloved Hilda went home comfortably as she completed her journey in this physical life, and for that, we would like to thank and extend our gratitude to Sharon. Words cannot express what you have sacrificed. Hilda Maria Peters Watson was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend. Hilda came from a tightly knit family who loved her and was surrounded by unconditional love. She will be deeply missed . She left behind host of nieces, nephews, grands and great grands, four step daughters, two step sons and step grandchildren. Aunt Pinky was and still is loved more than she knew and will be sorely missed. Hilda was predeceased by husband Emmanuel Watson, sisters Roslyn Peters, Ivy Pascoe, Uscilla Gonzales and brothers Alvin Peters and Eric Peters. She is survived by her brother Cyril James Peters, also known as “Sonny”.
