Obituary of Ana Alabre

Ana Alabre November 19, 1927 – September 6, 2021 Ana Alabre (“Mama”) was born on November 19, 1927, in Port-Salut, Haiti, to her parents Alfred Alabre and Maria Frederic. She grew up in the city of Les Cayes, Haiti, until she moved in the80s to the United States. Loving mother of Stanley Saliba and wife Gina, Joseph A. Jules and wife Oleine, Yvrose A. Raymond and husband John Hervé, and Jean S. Alexis and wife Colette. Cherished grandmother of Sabrina, Tatiana, Noikha and husband Shelby Fontilus, Herby, Randy, Pitney, Sasha, Elijah, and Christie. Dearest sister of Idana Alabre Chalvire. Ana is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Montreal (Canada), Florida (USA),Connecticut (USA), Massachusetts (USA), New York (USA), and Les Cayes (Haiti), including Susane and Deschineau Mila, Felicie Savaille, Nicolas Deler, Therese and Honorat Charleron, Claudette F. Scutt, Manante Alabre, Claude A. and Jean Rousseau, Presnel and Marie Alabre, Rosette, Adeline, Carmene, and Jean-Michel Alabre, Danette, Denose, and Edith Vante, Marie Therese Bouloute, Emose and Jean E. Piou. Additionally, Ana is survived by several great nieces and nephews, including Jimmy and Patrick Savaille, Guychard and Harold Mila, Taisha and Herby Deler, Ricky and Jeff Charleron, Eulalia Scutt, Tracy and Mathieu Rousseau, Samuel Alabre, Dan and Joel Alabre, Guerline R. Tassy, Claude, Frantz, Nancy, and Sheila Bouloute, Hansy, Noah, and Daphnee Piou, and Jessica Claude. Ana will be remembered as a loving lady with a great heart. She was called “Mama”,"Manmoute" or "Manmouta" by family members, friends, and neighbors because she was a mother to all the kids in the neighborhood. She was also known for her cooking skills and hospitality. Everyone was always welcome in her house, there were no boundaries, you cancome and eat, to play or sleep; she makes you feel at ease, and you never want to leave. Ana was a sweetheart, a kindhearted lady, very respectful and respected. God has gifted her with along life in return for being an angel on earth; she positively impacted a lot of lives during her time on Earth, not just the lives of her children but also those of families and friends by providing shelter and food. Finally, the Alabre, Saliba, Jules, Raymond, and Alexis families would like to thank all families and individuals who offered support and comfort during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. A visitation for Ana will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel (9000 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024), followed by a funeral service between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. At the family’s request, there will be strict observance of CDC guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemics, requiring masks indoors in public, regardless of vaccination status.
