PHILIP JAMES MANDINA
1937 - 2021
Pembroke Pines, Florida
On October 19, 2021, Philip James Mandina passed away peacefully at home in Pembroke Pines, Florida, at the age of 84. Phil was born on January 17, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the University of Miami School of Law. He was an attorney and practiced law for almost 60 years, the last 40 at Mandina & Ginsberg. He was highly respected by other attorneys and judges. He had many activities he loved including piloting airplanes and helicopters. He was an expert yachtsman and enjoyed fishing, ATV riding, skiing, and donated his time flying his helicopter helping the Opa Locka Swat Team. He loved his Australian Shepherds and his Quarter Horses which he rode often. In addition to his law practice he also envisioned, created and saw to fruition the world famous “Sundays On The Bay” in Key Biscayne. Phil divided his time between homes in Boone, North Carolina, Sugarloaf Key and SW Ranches, Florida.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Sally Lynn Mandina, grandson James Cinque (Mandina), cousin Bonnie Mandina and extended Puntervold family, included many nieces and nephews. Phil is in heaven visiting with his son, Joseph James Mandina, grandson Joseph Cinque (Mandina) and his brother Gerald Mandina who predeceased him. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday December 7, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. Mark Catholic Church (In the Chapel), 5601 South Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, Florida 33330 954-434-3777
