Juan (Juanito) Hernandez, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. An immigrant to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 1969, he met and married his wife of 52 years in New York. Always a cheerful, respectful, honorable man, Juan supported and raised his family in New York for several decades until 2006, when he and his wife retired to Pembroke Pines, Florida. He was a devout Catholic, loving, and caring husband and father who loved gardening and going for long walks.
Juan was predeceased by his father Felix, mother Justina, three brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife Ana, son Frank, daughter Homaira, son-in-law Hiram and several brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Joseph A. Scarano Funeral Homes.
