Obituary of Mirta Castillo

Mirta Castillo, 87, of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida passed away peacefully on December 17 2021. The funeral will be at Joseph A Scarano Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 between 3:00pm and 8:00pm, Hollywood Blvd Hollywood, Fl. (Presidential Circle). Mirta was born in Cuba, May 29 1934. Mirta earned her early childhood education degree and was a kindergarten teacher. She relocated to West Palm Beach along with her husband Mario, and her two young children on April 15 1962. She was determined to become accustomed to a new way of life in the United States of America. She became a U.S. citizen and worked at various retail stores ending up at Gucci. She was a very valuable associate for many years. Once retired, she became extremely active with her condominium association and ran a tight ship. Mirta was an extremely courageous and determined woman with everything she was involved in. Mirta is survived by her three adult children Mario, Mirtha, Oscar, daughter in law Debbie, 3 grandchildren Christopher, Haley and Aidan, brother, Dr. Maulio Hernandez and many other family members.
