Obituary of Paul D. Brody

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paul David Brody passed from this world on January 9th, 2022 in Wellington, FL.Born on December 11th, 1946 in New Brunswick, NJ to Eugene and Sarah Brody, Paul is survived by his wife Adrienne, daughter Julie, son in law Glenn, son Jonathan, daughter in law Michele, son Michael, daughter in law Nina, and daughter Meghan, as well as grandchildren Isabella, Amelie, Bryant, Jackson, Madelyn, Gemma, and Michael Paul and by brother Ron and sister in law Melissa, brother Bob and sister in law Deborah, sister Sharon and brother in law Joe, brother in law Ken Swedler and sister in law Lisa, and brother in law Bruce Swedler. When his father Eugene was unexpectedly taken from his family on February 17th, 1967, it was up to Paul to ensure that Associated Auto Parts, Inc., the family’s auto parts distribution company in Linden, NJ, would survive and continue to support the livelihoods of the family and the company’s employees. He was only 20 years of age.Together with his mother Sarah, and siblings Ron, Bob and Sharon, Paul and his family grew Associated into one of the gold standards in the industry. When the time came decades later for the family to move on from the business, their priority once again was that their employees would remain securely in their positions. It was always about taking care of the people around them. Paul married his former wife Cynthia in 1969. Julie and Jonathan arrived shortly thereafter. They parted ways two decades later. Paul would then find his forever match in Adrienne, with whom he would share the remainder of his life, one filled with love and laughter. They were married on June 2nd, 1990. The addition of Mike and the eventual arrival of Meghan completed the family, and his grandchildren, who would know him as Pop, gave him much joy. Paul was a rocker. His love of Rock n’ Roll was constant throughout his life. He passed that love of rock to all his children and he loved nothing more than going to concerts with family and friends. Paul liked music that really boogied. His joyful dancing at family gatherings was always a must-see event. Among his favorites were Bruce Springsteen, George Thorogood, the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and so many others. Paul was always athletic, and he played and was involved in sports throughout his life, whether it be racquetball, softball, pickleball or tennis. In addition to his great generosity as a person in general, he was also generous with his time. He managed or was involved with his kids’ sports teams even when he had the responsibility of being a partner in the family business, and he was an intricate part of the organization of his softball league in New Jersey and the Golden Years Softball League in Florida, even when he was unable to participate as a player. Donating his time and helping others by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels was a joy for him as well.Paul most enjoyed the simple things in life. He was generous. He was there for you when you needed him. He was about taking care of people, and that is what he did all his life, and will continue to do through his choice to be an organ donor. We love you always Pop. A Celebration of Life event will take place in the near future for family and close friends. https://scaranofuneralhome.com/tribute/details/3682/Paul-Brody/obituary.html#tribute-start
