Dear Auntie Kay, Don & family, and Kamala & family- On behalf of Mom, Brine and myself, I wanted to send our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Uncle Tony. I am glad to know my dad was one of the ones waiting to receive him into eternal glory, where I am sure they are cooking up quite the storm! We are sad we are unable to be at the funeral, but please know you are all in our prayers. Uncle Tony will be sorely missed. I, for one, will especially miss having those opportunities to make him laugh and then getting to hear that big, belly laugh that was just pure joy! Yes, we will miss him while we are still here, but we know it's only for a time, and we will reunite with him again, on that glorious day. May God comfort you all in the days ahead, and may the lifetime of memories you shared bring much joy and happiness to your hearts always. Love, Tash, Brine and Margaret

I will miss my uncle Tony and his warm smile. He always showed me love and hospitality. He was the only one that called me brodda tookooma, a rabbit(sp?) . Either because my middle name is Tacuma or because I was clever and cunning like the rabbit. He wanted me to jump as a kid anytime he called me tooks. Funny, up until the last time I saw him last October, he still called me tooks. It always made me smile although this time I didn't jump. I remember how kind and welcoming he was to Michelle and his kind words to us in person on hearing of our multiple miscarriages. Many fond memories of him when I was young. I love you uncle Tony and I look forward to seeing you later in heaven. May God's peace be with your wife (auntie Kay), children (Don and Kamala, Lori, Jason), brothers and sisters, grandchildren and friends. -wm

Just as it was stated in his Obituary, and that is what drew me in from a yute to my admiration of his being, he had 'smiling eyes, joyous laugh, calm demeanor and open heart'. That was my Uncle Tony!! I've already conveyed my condolences so I will share of a few memories. Don't get me wrong I've always felt proud and have a love for my FIVE Gordon Uncles but this is just a FEW things of what I want to share of my Uncle Tony that stood out and will have a lasting impact in my heart... Back in '99 one of my Uncle Tony's brothers, my Uncle Sam, and Auntie Daine took my brother and I to Jamaica to spend a little time with Uncle Tony and Auntie Kay and my cousin Kamala was there too during Christmas Time!...One day on a boating trip to Lime Quay I was splashing about in the sea water and got stung by a small jellyfish. Uncle Tony's survival instinct kicked in and helped soothe the pain giving me some RANDOM OUT OF NOWHERE Aloe Plant to rub the sting and later some Ginger Beer from the winding roads. That experience and aftercare never left me nor ceased to amaze me. That was my Uncle Tony! Fast fwd to 2015... When I was now a venturous travelling young lady I granted myself a solo trip to Florida with Fishing in mind! And from FOOD at 'The Tastings' which I was surprised that Uncle Tony took a chance of treating me to not sure if he knew of how much of a Foodie I was/am, I was blown away!!...>To going to his AUTO SHOP...Ha ha! At the "Transmission Shop" I asked my Uncle Tony if I could get a transmission to work on...The closest thing to working on a transmission for me was working on taking a photo of one to remember!! But with my interest in cars on a whole I found it captivating and not so funny at the time!...> To SHOPPING...Let's just say the shopping was Auntie Kay and I solo department (wink wink)...>To CHURCH Service/Gathering...I'll cherish worshiping with Uncle Tony and Auntie Kay (made the trip even more special)...>To FISHING...We did both a Night Fishing and Early Morning Fishing...I (dare I say we) had a ball!! And I remember I came close to getting a Fishing License with all the fish I caught. At least Uncle Tony was hinting anyway!! Seeing and experiencing my Uncle Tony in his various elements taught me a lot about his passions, about him as a being and why so many people loved/love him so. That was my Uncle Tony. Thank you Uncle Tony for being one of my FIVE Gordon Uncles and for being present in my LIFE and for your's and Auntie Kay's love shown to me...It means more than one would ever know. I'll miss you forever Uncle Tony. ~nm
