VOELKER, VERNE J., nee SENEY, of Pembroke Pines passed away September 19, 2015. Born December 11, 1921 in North Adams, MA. She graduated from a local business college. She worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft during World War II after learning shop math, how to read blueprints and to set up and operate a P & W tooth grinding machine. In 1947 she moved to Miami and 1950 married Paul Voelker Sr. who predeceased her in 1984. She worked as a legal secretary for banks and law firms. She was a member of the Mayflower Society and the DAR and served as President of the Miami Shores Business and Professional Women's Club and the Women's Committee of 100. She leaves a son, Paul Voelker Jr., of Flowery Branch, GA., daughter Carol Cantor (Lonnie) of Pembroke Pines, and a son, Karl Voelker (Eva) of Parkland. She also leaves her brother, Fayne Seney (Dorothy) of Williamstown, MA. three grandchildren, Jason Cantor, Emily and Christy Voelker as well as nieces and nephews.
