We mournfully announce the passing of Nancy Rogill, 86, of Pembroke Pines, Florida. Nancy passed away on March 14, 2022 at her home. Nancy, born to the late Jose Jesus Rodriguez and late Roselia Gil in Jatibonico, Camaguey, Cuba. Nancy was the oldest of her siblings, the late Neyda Rodriguez, the late Amador Niris Rodriguez, the late Margarita Noris Rodriguez and the late Eustaquio Nivaldo Rodriguez Gil. Nancy left Cuba on 8/8/1969 and moved to the United States seeking a better life for her & her family. Nancy found a career at GE while raising her 2 children. She lived in Connecticut until she retired and moved to Florida on 8/14/2002. Nancy was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sharing this talent by making her loved ones clothes as well as herself. She could find an outfit in a magazine or store and would go home and recreate it all on her own! She also taught herself to crochet and knit, and would make the most beautiful gifts for all her family members. Nancy also enjoyed baking, she would find recipes in magazines and newspapers and share these delicious sweets with anyone around her. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Nancy and her husband Jorge Gelabert of Florida; her son, Nelson and wife Vaitsa Blanco and their children Alexander and Gabriela of Connecticut; Grandson, Jorge II and wife Jessica Gelabert and their children Lana and Nicholas of Florida; Granddaughter, Lourdes and husband James and their children Adriana and Antonio of Connecticut; Grandson, Javier and his spouse Katie and their daughters Aria and Lola Gelabert of Connecticut. The Family will hold a private service.
