Obituary of Marie Therese Banks

Celebrating the Life of Marie Therese Kebreau Banks August 15th, 1923 – April 21st, 2022 Our dear beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Marie Therese Kebreau Banks, known as Meme was carried gently into Jesus’ arms on April 21st, 2022 at the age of 98. Meme dedicated her life to raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Haiti, New York, Chicago, Pennsylvania and Florida over the span of 80 years. She taught them the love of Jesus and discipline. She was full of life, spread so much joy and was always welcoming to anyone who she encountered. She was a constant presence who will be deeply missed by her loved ones. She will be fondly remembered as a caring matriarch, a woman of prayer with a great devotion to the blessed mother. She is survived by her children Myrtha, Gladys and Lionel Banks, her grandchildren Myrlene Berrette, Danielle Ducheine, Jean Pierre Berrette, Lionel banks Jr, Emmanuel Banks, Sandra St Cyr, Nathalie Belizaire, her great grandchildren Sagine, Edwin, Sabine, Randall, Abigael, Kael, Liliana, Ariana, Kingston and Zhara... To celebrate her life, the family invites you to join them to a viewing service that will be held on Friday April 29th, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm at Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel. On the following day, Saturday April 30th, 2022 at 10:00 am, a funeral mass will be celebrated at St Bartholomew Catholic Church. “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would Fulfill his promise to her.” Luke 1:45 Please keep the Banks family in your prayers.
