Obituary of Vincent Profita

Vincent has always been the man of my dreams. We've been married for 25 beautiful years, would have been 26 in December. We met in Margate, Florida. He is from New York and I am from Michigan. He is my hero because of all he was and what he stood for! He was generous, kind, sweet, loving, crazy and foolish too. But most of all he loved God. He'd help everybody. A true boyscout, army captain, investigator, a flirt and a tease. He loved to eat out or cook or be fed by me! He enjoyed our cats Charlie Brown and Couragio. Charlie Brown died because he fell off the side of the tub. Got sick from fleas, his stomach was bleeding and had to be put to sleep. He said that was the hardest thing he had to do. Then we got Couragio; an ad was in the paper to give away cats to a good home. We found Savannah Cats! So huge it scared us at first. He wanted a black & white. We had a cage and he jumped right in. So we brought him home because he wanted to go with us. He was underfed when we found him and he was free too! Yeah we loved having a nice new cat to love and feed and clean up after! Our love is and was the greatest love. No one in between to control or rule us or our thoughts and no one to ruin our dreams of togetherness because when I die I want to be buried next to him in the same place. Our love is a home, music and peacefulness. Love for yesterday and tomorrow is the way it will stay. When Vincent was a P.O.W. he suffered more than anyone has ever felt the pain. He was forever full of vengeance after all that and what they did to him you could not have ever imagined. I truly love him before this, now and forever, VMP ___________________________________________________________________________________ Vincent died October 6, 2015 at 11:40 a.m. CPR could not save him on the third try. He was in 2038 ICU. Dr. Pastewski and nurse Connie or Reyes. Vincent had multiple myeloma of the bones- the worst cancer you can get. Chemo/Radiation/Dialysis. High Blood pressure, high cholesterol, enlarged prostate, ringing in the ears, water in the lungs, lack of food in the hospital. He had no appetite and yet he wanted to eat but couldn't. They were afraid he would inhale the food. Loss of blood (constant internal bleeding). He had a tumor behind his left eye. They used 10 radiation treatments on that eye. On the 10th day of treatment for the eye they treated his chest where there were multiple myelomas. There were three treatments all together on the chest. Possible radiation poisoning and low blood pressure (lack of blood) and low pulse and a hemoglobin of 7.8 8.4 earlier If it is below 7.0 they give blood. He died. Sorry to say. As for our cat Courajio, we still have him and boy oh boy do we miss Papa Bear Vincenzo. All he wants to do is eat and sleep and look for Vincent; it breaks your heart. He loved Vincent to pet him but hated having his nails clipped. Vincent loved horses and the casino. He loved to fight if anyone disrespected him; though he didn't care about how big or strong, he would say " I'm still the boss!" (5th degree Black Belt) The last words he said to me were "I LOVE YOU!" I told him "I LOVE YOU TOO!" He loved his kids and missed them so much. He really wished he could have been a better father. He loved everybody. Even his brother Sal, who has helped everybody the most in his family. I will cherish the memories. I always loved Vincent….before, now and forever.
